बुटवल-प्रतिनिधिसभा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सम्बन्ध समितिको एक टोलीले बुधबार लुम्बिनीको स्थलगत निरीक्षण गरेको छ । निरीक्षणपछि समितिले सरकारलाई तीन बुँदे सुझाव दिने प्रतिबद्धता जनाएको छ ।
सो टोलीले लुम्बिनीमा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय शान्ति केन्द्र स्थापना गर्न सरकारलाई सुझाव दिने भएको छ । संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघको आधिकारिक एजेन्सीको रुपमा रहेको उक्त केन्द्र लुम्बिनीमा स्थापना गरेमा त्यसको महत्व संसारभरी फैलिने विश्वास लिँदै यस्तो सुझाव दिन लागिएको सहभागी सदस्यहरुको भनाइ छ ।
यस्तै, लुम्बिनीको विभिन्न बिहार तथा मन्दिरमा आएका विदेशी भिक्षु भिक्षुणीहरुको भिसा थपका लागि सहज प्रक्रिया बनाउन सहयोग गर्ने र लुम्बिनीको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय महत्वलाई स्थापित गर्न सरकारले विशेष कार्यक्रम बनाउन सुझाव दिने पनि सहभागी प्रतिनिधिको भनाइ छ ।
प्रतिनिधिमण्डलमा सांसदहरु दिव्यमणि राजभण्डारी, मोहन बानियाँ, नारदमुनि राना, रेनुका गुरुङ, सरला यादव, पुष्पा कर्ण कायस्थ र समितिका सचिव सुरज दुरा सहभागी थिए । सांसद नारदमुनि रानाले काठमाडौं फर्केपछि समितिको बैठक बसेर सरकारलाई सुझाव दिने र कार्यान्वयन गराउन पहल गर्ने बताए ।
उपाध्यक्ष भिक्षु मेत्तेय्यले ११५ देशका नागरिकले भ्रमण गर्ने लुम्बिनीको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय महत्वका लागि प्रतिनिधिसभा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सम्बन्ध समितिले विशेष महत्वका साथ योजना अगाडि सार्नेमा विश्वास व्यक्त गरे ।
उनले लुम्बिनीमा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय शान्ति केन्द्र स्थापना गर्न र बिहार एवं मन्दिरमा भिक्षुहरूको भिसामा सहजीकरण गरिदिन समेत आग्रह गरे ।
लुम्बिनी विकास कोषका योजना प्रमुख सरोज भट्टराई, सूचना अधिकृत राजन बस्नेतहरुद्वारा लुम्बिनी गुरुयोजना तथा लुम्बिनीको पुरातात्विक एवं सांस्कृतिक महत्वका बारेमा सांसदहरुलाई जानकारी गराएको लुम्बिनी विकास कोषका सूचना विज्ञ नरेश केसीले जानकारी दिए । उनका अनुसार टोली काठमाडौं फर्केको छ ।
